Overview
Although I have never held the title "Technical Writer", every job in IT that I have held involved the creation of technical documents.
These include: Plans, Proposals, Manuals, Guides, Procedures, Websites, Brochures, and Others ...
Often neglected, technical documentation is a key component in being able to fully utilize any product that is created or procedure that must be followed. It provides make-or-brake information to market and sell your ideas and proposals to key decision-makers. Lastly, it serves as a point of reference keeping all interested stakeholders "on the same page".
What differentiates me from other "Documentors" is that: (1) I fully appreciate its importance, (2) I enjoy doing it, and (3) having created all the differing types of documentation many times over, I can appropriately employ the right tools, formats and approach coupled with an effective writing style to get the job done.
